International Military Education and Training Project

Between 1995 and 2021, the U.S. Government spent $13.5 million to send 700 Croatian students to International Military Education and Training (IMET) funded courses. Graduates went on to serve in leadership positions within the Ministry of Defense and other senior leadership positions. IMET programs foster lasting ties between U.S. and Croatian defense officials, strengthening Croatia’s own defense capabilities and deepening the security relationship between our two countries.
